Showit, like any other platform, does have a learning curve. Once you understand the basics and layout of Showit, creating a one-of-a-kind website is fun.

All of our clients who use Showit make updates and changes to their websites on their own. For example, swapping a photo can be done with three clicks of a mouse.

Showit makes publishing changes seamless. You can work on edits and preview the website changes. Then publish them by clicking the ‘Publish’ button.

Showit does use WordPress to blog. But that typically means fewer plug-ins than what’s needed if your entire site is built on WordPress and fewer updating plug-ins.

My biggest hang-up with WordPress is its ease of use. It’s a running joke in the design community that you fix one thing on the WordPress website, then five other problems occur. The biggest downfall of Showit is its lack of phone support. All support must go through email or live chat widget. However, most of their customer support emails are answered within 24 hours of being sent.

They do have helpful resources and emergency support if your website is down during a weekend or holiday.

Showit has a small, tight-knit community that they dedicate time to foster. They even have a yearly conference, Spark, you can attend and network with people in your industry. Showit also has Facebook groups with other users inside, offering peer-to-peer help and support.

WordPress

As of 2023, the number of websites using WordPress around the globe is 455 million. Compared to just 61,171 Showit websites. Even though this is a massive difference in users, this makes the community more of a corporation.

When searching for support, I had trouble finding the best way to reach out to WordPress for help. But they do have tons of active Facebook groups with members inside offering help and support. WordPress also has a forum where you can research answers to questions.

Pricing and Cost

Showit has straightforward pricing for online businesses. They offer three tiers, including one without a WordPress blog, which a great option if you don’t plan on blogging. Depending on your tier, prices range from $24-39 per month, which includes content management.
