I am so excited, and I’ll admit it, also very apprehensive to showcase my first completed design project of 2016! Oh boy, was it a fun one! I get nervous to show my design work because it’s what I’m most passionate about.
Since this is my first brand launch on my blog, I’ll give you a little background. I studied graphic design at The Art Institute of Houston earning my degree in 2013. Shortly after I graduated (almost immediately) I started Carrylove Designs. Nearly three years later, here we are. I am striving to get to the point to where I can run my graphic design boutique full time. Until then, I will be blessed enough to have two full-time jobs.
Jacquline contacted me to help her launch her new brand which is a boutique that sells organic, handcrafted soaps. She already had a clear idea of what she wanted her brand to say about her. Her list of must-haves included cursive font, yellow and black color scheme, the use of a lemon and simplicity. The rest was up to the imagination.
In my design process, after hearing and seeing what the client is envisioning, I begin work on the mood board which helps spark concepts that are parallel to what the client is wanting.

What are your thoughts about the final brand launch and mood board design?
